Zeyad Al-Awwad

Zeyad Al-awwad is a research specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics at the University of Ottawa, specializing in computational physics. His undergraduate thesis examined the electronic band structures of various GaAs/AlAs nanostructures, with an emphasis on quantum tunneling in stacked thin-film superlattices. His interests include the applications of semiconductor physics in photovoltaic cells, quantum effects in semiconductor nanostructures and the application of methods from statistical physics to model and analyze complex networks.
