Yazeed Awwad is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST and MIT. Yazeed earned his BSC in computer science cum laude from the University of Ottawa in Canada and a M.S. in economics from Boston University. Currently he is part of the Labor Market Decision Support System (LMDSS) project and previously worked with Urban Traffic Systems. His interests include mathematical modeling & optimization, statistical analysis and data mining. Reflecting his varied academic background, Yazeed has work experience in the IT departments of multinational finance and manufacturing firms in the US and Europe and has passed the first of the three-level Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination before joining CCES and turning his attention to research in complex systems.
