Center for Complex Engineering Systems
Salma Aldawood is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems
(CCES) at KACST and MIT. She holds a Master degree in Computer Engineering from Carleton
University, Ottawa, Canada, and a Bachelor degree from King Saud University in Information
Technology, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before joining CCES, Salma worked as an Information
Technology Support Specialist at KFUPM in Saudi Arabia.
During her bachelor degree and as part of her graduation project she with her team have
developed a tracking system thats finds the nearest taxi to a customer using GPS technology
and based on a couple of criteria like street crowdedness and Dijkstra algorithm. For her master
graduation project she developed a tool that facilities the modeling and creation of test cases for
the aspect oriented software under test using modeling based development techniques.
Salma’s research interests include software engineering, model based development of software,
gamification, GIS, HCI, visualization, big data Analysis and data mining.
