Center for Complex Engineering Systems
Rawan Aloula is a research specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Rawan is eager to interpret abstract relations governing this whole universe, understanding the patterns in nature and the nature of patterns. She enjoys taking probabilities and uncertainties to a new level while holding a bachelor degree in Physics.
During her study, Rawan focus laid on the fields of electronics, innovation and entrepreneuring, and she spent her time in electronics lab preparing and testing courses material. In her undergraduate project Rawan initiated an interest in Computational Physics; testing the FDTD method’s ability to simulate Metamaterial and Photonic-Crystal. Joining the CCES allowed her to expand this interest to wide range of topics including energy and environment.
